Pain au Chocolat Pudding

Pain au Chocolat Pudding

A deliciously simple indulgent dessert

Serves 4-6


  • 6 St Pierre Pain au Chocolat
  • 10g soft butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 175ml whole milk
  • 40 ml double cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 30g caster sugar
  • 50g dark chocolate chips


  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
  2. Slice the pain au chocolat into even slices, about 2cm thick.
  3. Place them flat in a buttered ovenproof dish
  4. Break the eggs into a mixing bowl, whisk first before adding the milk, cream, sugar and vanilla extract
  5. Pour the mixture over the pain au chocolat, and top with chocolate chips
  6. Leave to stand for 10 minutes, before baking in the oven for 20-25 minutes
  7. When the top is golden brown, remove and serve with vanilla ice cream
